Nurse Practitioners (NPs) have been providing primary, acute and specialty healthcare to patients of all ages and walks of life for nearly half a century. NPs assess patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, make diagnoses, and initiate and manage treatment plans – including prescribing medications. They are the healthcare providers of choice for millions of patients. An NP is truly Your Partner in Health. While nurse practitioners can practice independently, they often work in closely with a physician partner under a “collaborative agreement.”

As one of our providers, Gerri Dolan is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, who joined our practice in February, 2014. She sees patients in our office, in the hospital and in the dialysis units. Gerri is extraordinarily qualified for her task. She worked as a registered nurse for 23 years including many years in the critical care units at Raritan Bay Medical Center. She was singled out to help develop and implement the electronic order entry system at the hospital. She has worked extensively in cardiac rehabilitation. She has had prior experience in outpatient medicine and cardiology.
